Happy Easter to You!

Well, it's been a year and I have been able to keep this semi-up-to-date. Here is Miss Avary's newest "Bunny Picture." I am amazed on a regular basis as to what a big girl she is becoming. In fact, I just got done with her preschool registration, it about knocked me over. Oh and the bunny in the picture, his name is Oliver, and he is the newest addition to our ever-growing family. Honest! After, he was done with his stay at Yuen Lui, he was up for adoption and looking for a home. Well, Jason bonded with him and a week later he and Avary were on their way to get her new bunny. Honestly, what will he do when she's 16?!?

Anyhow, the new baby is growing bigger by the day (or at least it feels) and making lots of movement. Something, I thoroughly enjoy, but I am also thinking, "How am I going to keep up with this little 'critter' once 'he/she' arrives."

We love you all big and hope spring finds you with a little sunshine.

Our #2's First Picture

So here he/she is, for their first pictorial. Jason, Avary and I had our 1st ultrasound a few weeks ago, and this is the result. Isn't it crazy how great the pictures have gotten. Avary was very excited to see 'our new baby.' She is going to be a fantastic big sister. Oh, and because cesarean deliveries are so convenient (when you know in advance), we know that our new kiddo will be born on May 28, 2008 around 10am or so. So now the countdown is on. We opted not to learn the gender and we are so excited and eager to see if God is going to give us another beautiful baby girl (that's my guess), or if it will be a handsome little boy. No definites on names yet (a few ideas), but hopefully, by May 27, we'll have it narrowed down to something suitable. And we are open to suggestions.

Merry "Mono"...I mean Christmas

Seriously, who knew that a 2 year old could get mono. But leave it to our girl to go above and beyond any run-of-the-mill illness. She woke up Christmas morning not feeling so well, but since the doctor two days earlier had told us she probably just had "Strep" and to give her ibuprofen and amoxicillan. Luckily, the ibuprofen helped her "rally" through opening presents (the most fun morning I can remember). But by 9:30pm, and a temp of 105.4. Jas and I were pretty convinced it must be something more. Sure enough, a trip to the doctor the next morning and a blood draw, our peanut was diagnosed with good ole "mono," that's right, the 'kissing disease,' dad's still waiting for her explanation on this one. But after resting a few days and more antibiotics, she was back to her 'sassy-self.' HOORAY!

Tree-Hunting

What a super-cold adventure this turned out to be. Bbrrr, snow! Avary just could not decide which tree she wanted to bring home. The first tree she settled on was about a foot and a half tall, apparently she wanted to put the star on top all by herself. Instead, we later all agreed on this beautiful noble. Avary 'helped'dad saw it down and carry it to the truck. She was so proud of herself.

Moses Cousin

How cute are these two together? I guess they are 2nd cousins? Our little family went East for Thanksgiving and to help Stuart celebrate his big 3-0! It was a large gathering for Grandma and Grandpa's house, but it was to the brim with love, cousins and a dog (or three). And who knows maybe one of these days G and G will have a new, slightly larger home on their lake property.

Trick-Or-Treat

I know I am partial...but is she the cutest starfish you have EVER seen? Don't blame her for her goofy costume, it was her mom's first attempt at sewing. Not too bad. She had a ball...she especially liked passing out candy to the trick or treaters at our door (unless they were scary, then mom got the honors).
Oh and since this is our family blog, I should report that Jason got his deer. A nice 3 X 3 over in Cle Elum, on opening weekend. He was very happy with his "kill." I will spare you the pictures, although if you come over, expect Jason to corner you with them (my fair warning).

Small Delay...

So, obviously not as quick with the updates as I had hoped, but as I am sure you all know, life gets BUSY. Seriously, November...Already? Anyhow, here is a picture, as promised, of Miss Avary in Auntie Sheryl's wedding...is she not the most beautiful bride, not to mention her adorable lil flower girl.
And a picture of Avary's mom and dad, because we had yet to put dad on our "family" website. Handsome, isn't he?
