Garden Girl

So I may be brain-washing Avary a little...she can identify the majority of the flowers in our little garden. She is a nut. We are outside most days, enjoying some dry weather and she is such a 'help' with watering our flowers.

We let loose about 500 ladybugs in our garden to help control some the the ahpids we have on our roses, and looking for 'y-ady bugs' is her new favorite thing. Here she is getting up close and personal with one.

Here is a picture of her with her best-friend Kane riding on his "oomba" as they call it. They are quite the pair. Very loving one-minute...then pinching or hitting the next. They give us quite the run for our money, but they are good buddies.

And finally here are Jason's girls having way too much fun with some "Pop Rocks." Remember those? They make Avary laugh so hard.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Uncle Brian's wedding next weekend. Here she goes Flower Girl-Fourth Time. Oh and by the way, she made it down the isle at Auntie Sheryl's. It was touch and go, but she made it on her own. Hope to have some pictures soon to share. Sheryl looked beautiful and Avary was pretty cute at her side.

I'm Two!!

WOW...Two Years Old! We had such a fun day. We started off with a very fun family breakfast...Fruit Kabobs! Perfect for a fruit-loving two-year-old! Then we went to the Puyallup Daffodil Parade. We were not expecting it to last for 3 hours, but saw so many fun things...although clowns and pirates were not a favorite. Then, after a nap, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and had dinner and Birthday Cupcakes. Thanks to both Grandma's and Grandpa's, Nick, Ryan, Brian, Beth, Wyatt, Don, Janet, Brandon, Emily, Stella, and Jack for sharing in our girls very special day. We love you all.

Our Busy Little Peanut

So in less than 2 weeks our 'baby' will be 2 years old. Jason and I are AMAZED at how fast time goes when you have kiddos. She is as busy and active as ever.

Her current favorite things are reading(no complaints here), puzzles, her 'boys'(the dogs), and doing anything outside. Oh and the baby chicks(kicks-as she calls them) that we are currently raising in our laundry room. And no, that's not a typ-o.

We adopted 7 baby hens into our family for 5 weeks. We are 3 weeks in, and at 5 weeks old, they'll go live with the neighbor and her other 3 hens. Avary got to name her hen...which she lovingly named Carlos. Nope, we don't know anyone named Carlos, but she seems to give everything that name right now. Jason is starting to wonder!!!

We are eagerly waiting for some warmer weather so that we can get a garden planted. Jason built his 'girls' a potting shed last fall and we are ready and waiting to put it to good use. She loves to be outside and in the dirt, so I hope to get lots of good pictures.

Avary will be a flower girl in Auntie Sheryl's wedding in a little less than a month. Please pray that she makes it down the isle. We're a little nervous, but it should make for good laughs and memories. Again, hopefully we'll get some great pictures.

Happy Easter

Here is a picture of little Miss Avary on a recent trip to Yuen Lui to meet Oliver the Bunny. I don't know who had more fun...her or me. She loves animals (especially those that are smaller than her).

Our Easter was nice and laid back. We went to church, then up to Grandma and Grandpa Lindsay's house for breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt. She looked for the little plastic eggs that had been filled with change. She liked shaking them and inevitably had to pull them apart...flinging money everywhere. Needless to say it was a fun day.
